Registration: 9:00 AMWalk Begins: 10:00 AM Imagine taking home your healthy infant and placing him or her to bed believing that all will be well. In the last 10 years, approximately 1000 babies were placed to sleep in Florida, never again to wake up. Since 1994, the rate of SIDS has declined, yet in recent years, we have seen that rate begin to creep up again in Florida, while the rate of other sleep related infant death has also increased. Chris and Briana Price have walked this journey and know all too well the heartache that comes with the loss of a child. March 12, 2012 marks their daughter’s 10th birthday. They are marking that event with the fourth annual Kiara Dawn Walkathon, to benefit the Florida SIDS Alliance, a non-profit organization formed in 1992 through the efforts of SIDS parent groups and concerned professionals which strive to support research, educate the community and support families that have been affected by this tragic event. Support the Florida SIDS Alliance by sponsoring a walker, or by participating as a walker yourself. In addition, we have different levels of sponsorship available. Even if you are unable to walk, may support this cause.
